Follow this guide to personalise shift visibility, grouping, and tile display settings in Template Manager. These options help you focus on relevant shift information when managing templates, especially for large or complex rosters.
Filter, grouping, and display preferences are saved to your profile and do not affect other users.
Part 1: Filter shifts to narrow the roster view
- Click the Filter icon
in the top toolbar.
- Use one or more of the following options to refine what is shown:
- Employee code or name
- Region
- Location
- Department
- Role
- Area
- Assignment
- Shift definition
- Employment type
- Event
- Function
- Shift type
- Event type
- Click Apply to update the roster view.
When filters are active:
- A number displays next to each selected filter option.
- The Filter icon shows a red dot

- Hover over the Filter icon to display a quick X
to remove all filters.
Your template will now show only shifts that match your selected criteria.
Part 2: Group shifts by shared attributes
- Click the Group by button in the top toolbar.
- Select the grouping option that best supports your review or planning task:
- Location
- Department
- Area
- Event
- Shift definition
- Employment type
- Location and Department
The template layout will update to visually group shifts by your selected attribute.
Part 3: Control the details displayed on shift tiles
- Click the Settings icon
in the top right corner of the roster.
- Scroll through the list of available shift tile fields (e.g. Location, Department, Role, Shift Type).
- Use the toggles to turn fields on
or off
.
- Drag fields up or down using the handle icon
to change the display order.
The shift tiles will refresh once you click out of the settings menu to reflect your preferences.
