This article outlines the hardware and connectivity requirements to run a Humanforce kiosk, including both Humanforce-provided and customer-sourced options.
Humanforce-provided kiosk hardware options
Most customers procure their kiosk hardware through Humanforce. Available hardware bundles include:
- Element Tanso Tablet with Hitachi Vein Scanner and Mounting Brackets
- Element Tanso Tablet with Mounting Bracket
- Hitachi Vein Scanner (standalone)
Power and mounting
- Tablets must be connected to a secure power supply.
- Mounting brackets can be attached to a wall, and include cable locking to prevent tampering.
- The vein scanner is powered via USB and secured to the bracket alongside the tablet.
Network and remote support requirements
A reliable internet connection is essential. Supported connection types:
- Wi-Fi
- Ethernet (via USB to Ethernet hub)
- 3G/4G/5G mobile network via SIM slot (if required)
For Humanforce to provide remote support:
- Port 8041 may need to be opened to allow access via the remote support application.
- Ensure access to the kiosk URL is permitted:
- If hosted by Humanforce:
clientname.humanforce.com - If self-hosted: custom domain as configured

Customer-sourced kiosk hardware requirements
If sourcing your own hardware, ensure the tablet meets these minimum specifications:
Kiosk using vein scanner
- Operating system: Windows 11 or later. NOTE: as Windows is required iOS devices not compatible.

- For clients with more than 1000 vein templates using local databases, consult your Account Manager.
- RAM: 4GB
- Storage: Minimum 64gb
- Free disk space: Minimum 10gb
- Battery backup: Recommended
- Front-facing camera: 2MP or higher (for facial recognition)
- USB-A port (or compatible adapter) for vein scanner connection
- Network: Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity
.NET Framework 4.8 is required. Enable automatic updates to ensure compatibility.Kiosk using other modes (facial recognition or no biometric data)
- Operating system: Latest supported operating systems - Windows 11 or later, IOS, Android.
- Storage: Minimum 64gb
- Free disk space: Minimum 10gb or Minimum of 5mb (recommended 10mb) per employee for Offline Kiosk with Facial Recognition
- Battery backup: Recommended
- Front-facing camera: 2MP or higher (for facial recognition)
